As you work and persevere to find and fulfill your Christian calling, you’re probably discovered it’s sometimes very difficult to stay the course.

But God is always at work, no matter how it feels at the time!

So here are 15 Bible verses to encourage and inspire you.

  1. It is in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone. (Ephesians 1:11)
  2. But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth (Exodus 9:16).
  3. I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted” (Job 42:2).
  4. The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out (Proverbs 20:5).
  5. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28).
  6. The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands. (Psalm 138:8)
  7. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. (Habakkuk 2:3)
  8. I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me. (Psalm 57:2)
  9. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
  10. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. (Mark 12:30-31)
  11. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105)
  12. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, (Colossians 3:23)
  13. But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace, (Galatians 1:15)
  14. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)
  15. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
