Challenge 44. Blog 2.
God Did Indeed Create You for a Purpose!
Ephesians 1:11-12 says, "It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone."
What glorious news!
God delighted in creating you with a purpose. He put that desire in you.
And yet, every Christian has times when it seems like Christian calling is stalled, discouraging, or even apparently gone forever.
Well, if you're feeling like that, take courage, and read on!
A 3-Step Process for Gaining Clarity for Your Calling
During the past 7 years of my life, I have coached dozens of people in many states and several countries—over the phone—helping them to find and fulfill their Christian calling.
As I did that, I discovered a process for moving forward in Christian calling, shown in the graphics below. For optimal benefit, take a brief look, then scroll below for tips on how to use these graphics.

Which Step Are You In?
I have discovered that people who feel stalled, aimless, or discouraged in their Christian calling, move through these 3 steps in the order listed.
These 3 steps, during which you feel unclear and discouraged about your calling, cycle 3 times during the typical Christian's lifetime. Each of the three 3-step processes lasts 1.5 to 8+ years. One of mine lasted 10 years!
During this time, God prepares you for the next big step in your calling.
If the items under Step 1 are unclear, that's probably where you are now.
If Step 1 is clear, but Step 2 is not, you are probably in Step 2.
If Step 2 is clear, but Step 3 is not, you are probably in Step 3.
If Step 3 is clear, you're probably not even reading this blog! LOL!
Do you believe you are in Step 1, 2, or 3?
Get Clarity for Your Current Step
After you discover which step you are in, click on the drop-down menu for that step. You'll see blogs about the items listed for each step.
To get clarity for your current step in your Christian calling, prayerfully read one or more of the blogs listed for your current step.
I’m probably in Step 3. A beautiful gift that God has given to me is that I can see now how God is preparing my path. It is totally Him! I could never have dreamed, planned, or worked it for myself. Thanks for this post. It helped me reflect on how amazingly deep and wide God’s love, mercy, grace, and goodness are. 💛
Indeed, Amy! I praise God for His plan in YOUR life!
